What type of cleaning should I choose?
- Steam Cleaning (Hot Water Extraction) We find this is the most effective method in the majority of situations. It is also recommended by all leading carpet manufacturers.
- Encapsulation Cleaning (Very Low Moisture Cleaning). This is a fairly new and effective way of cleaning carpets. It is more of a maintenance cleaning system used when the carpets need to be put back in service quickly or where steam cleaning is not appropriate or not required.
How long will it take for my carpet to dry?
That depends on quite a few things such as fibre type, the cleaning method used, what are the weather conditions and time of year.
Our general rule of thumb is:
- Steam Cleaning – at least 24 hours.
- Encapsulation Cleaning – 2 – 4 hours. Things like assisted drying ceiling fans, air conditioning, windows open all help to greatly reduce drying time.
The carpet can be walked on immediately after cleaning – that is if you’re wearing socks or slippers.
